This is honestly the best poster I have found in a while supporting breast cancer awareness. I am honestly so sick of seeing, “set the tatas free” and “save the boobies”. There is no reason in hell a life threatening, life ruining disease should be sexualized. “Don’t wear a bra day,” go fuck yourselves. You’re not saving a pair of tits, you’re saving the entire package: mind, body, and soul included. Women are not just a pair of breasts.

"We never say that all men deserve to feel beautiful. We never say that each man is beautiful in his own way. We don’t have huge campaigns aimed at young boys trying to convince them that they’re attractive, probably because we very rarely correlate a man’s worth with his appearance. The problem is that a woman’s value in this world is still very much attached to her appearance, and telling her that she should or deserves to feel beautiful does more to promote that than negate it. Telling women that they “deserve” to feel pretty plays right in to the idea that prettiness should be important to them. And having books and movies aimed at young women where every female protagonist turns out to be beautiful (whereas many of the antagonists are described in much less flattering terms) reinforces the message that beauty has some kind of morality attached to it, and that all heroines are somehow pretty."

party—foul:

My boss would seriously scream at me if I put the brides bouquet in so much water that it ruined the lace holder like that. I’m nervous just looking at it.

Ugh tell me about it. At one of our weddings last weekend, the bouquets were delivered with the ribbon FULLY submerged. WHY.

I don't have the links to these because the caps are older than satan and I found them in the trash bin of my old macbook lmao. She deleted them so the links won't work anyways.

AND SHE’S A TERRIBLE RAPPER

reblogging again because the last two tweets are why i don’t feel the need to protect her against misogyny. she’s a female misogynist and slut-shamer. has she apologized for those or what?

as recently as 2013 her defense for those tweets was literally “those were meant to be private and were from before I became famous"…NOT that they were racist or misogynistic or wrong

there is sooo much wrong with iggyso very much. i hope the predictable desire to rush in and protect guinevere doesn’t blind everyone to how problematic she has been since day one

I’m not saying she’s a good person or that I like her bc I honestly don’t know much about her but aren’t all/most of these tweets from four years ago or are people not allowed to make mistakes and learn

did you not bother reading the text above before you reblogged this? iggy responded to those tweets as recently as 2013. and she *still* does not think they were “mistakes”…the only problem with them in *her* mind is that they should have been private. that’s all

she doesn’t think the tweets were “mistakes” and she never apologized. where is evidence of her having “learned” something?

she used her white privilege (not talent, not years of paying dues) to cash in on the “novelty” of being a white female rapper to enter the rap music game—a genra created by black people, the same ones she’s made racist tweets about—and all you can think is she made an oopsies?

she shouldn’t be rewarded for or profit off the backs of people she thinks so lowly of (and NO having a black “for show” bf doesn’t excuse anything just like donald sterling’s black gf didn’t)
